6th Grade teacher
The Imago School is looking for a Renaissance person to take over our 6th grade homeroom for the 2017-18 school year. We are looking for someone with a range of skills who could teach language arts, history, math, reading and even music if possible. We are seeking a traditionally minded educator and a flexible multidisciplinarian who is willing to work hard and play hard. At Imago we are interested in teaching the moral, intellectual, and creative aspects of the child and welcome applications from those interested in joining us in that effort. Experience in classical Christian educaiton would be a bonus but we are willing to train/mentor.
This is a full-time position.
The Imago School is looking to carry on a rich tradition of high-quality music education after the retirement of two long-time teachers. Music is woven all throughout the life of the school. From daily hymn singing in chapel and a full "lessons and carols" service before Christmas to a strong tradition of musical theater in the spring, music is given much emphasis and care.
We are seeking applicants with experience working with children in grades k-8, are classically trained, and committed to honoring Christ by the creation of beauty through song.
The position will consist of 6 class periods per week and begin in September 2017.
Interested persons should contact the school at firstname.lastname@example.org, or the school office 978-897-0549.
